Abellio Deutschland / ATH Rail Transport Beteiligungsgesellschaft Deutschland GmbH Abellio provides service-oriented local rail passenger transport services in Germany. The rail transport company operates services from Rheine in North Rhine-Westphalia to the German capital Berlin and from Emden on the North Sea to Saalfeld in Thuringia. On a total of 28 lines, more than 1,600 employees ensure comfortable, reliable and safe mobility for passengers. With 120 trains, Abellio achieves an annual service volume of 26 million train kilometers. Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland GmbH, based in Halle (Saale), and WestfalenBahn GmbH in Bielefeld are responsible for operations on the Saale-Thüringen-Südharz, Saxony-Anhalt diesel network and the Emsland and Mittelland networks. PTS GmbH from Neuss also ensures cleanliness and safety. Abellio Deutschland is owned by BeNEX GmbH.
