Hannes is a great example of the many different career paths that can be taken at UPONU. Originally coming from a completely different industry, he took the plunge into IT and has since established himself at UPONU.

After graduating from high school and briefly attending university, Hannes initially decided to train in horticulture. However, the physically demanding job led him to reorient his career. During a brief period of reflection, he realised that his true passion had always been in technology.

"Technical topics have been with me all my life," says Hannes.

Through his circle of friends, he finally came to UPONU, where he completed an internship and then started as an IT system administrator.

Hannes describes his work at UPONU as exciting and varied. His day is characterised by tasks in 1st and 2nd level support, where he processes customer enquiries, carries out migrations and takes care of internal documentation. He particularly appreciates the friendly atmosphere:

"Here I feel I have found the perfect balance between professionalism and human interaction. My colleagues are always willing to lend an ear, and we also do things together outside of work."

Hannes describes the development opportunities at UPONU as almost limitless. In just half a year, he has already learned a lot, but he can also see how much more he can learn from his colleagues. His goal is to continuously develop and always stay up to date with the latest IT developments:

"The IT world in particular is constantly evolving, and you have to constantly adapt your know-how."

Hannes has valuable advice for all new colleagues: openness and communication are the keys to success.

"Ask as many questions as you can, because the more you learn."
